What are seamless elbows?
Unlike fabricated elbows, seamless elbows are produced by hot-forming or cold-forming a seamless pipe into the required angle without introducing a longitudinal weld. This manufacturing process creates a fitting with consistent wall thickness and uniform mechanical properties throughout the component. Seamless elbows are commonly manufactured according to ASME B16.9 and are available in carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless-steel grades for use in industrial piping systems.
